Which Special Additional Deductions Apply? How Much Tax Do They Save?
Children’s education, elderly support, housing rent and other special additional deductions reduce taxable income directly. This guide lists each deduction standard.
Special additional deductions are policy-based items deducted on top of the basic deduction. They directly lower taxable income and reduce the tax you pay.
Common items: children’s education (2,000/month per child), childcare for children under 3 (2,000/month per child), continuing education (400/month or 3,600/year), housing loan interest (1,000/month) or housing rent (800–1,500/month), elderly support (3,000/month for an only child), and serious medical expenses (the portion above 15,000, capped at 80,000).
Add up everything you qualify for, enter it in the "Special Additional Deductions (Monthly)" field, and you will see a more realistic take-home figure.
